Famine story

I've promised to continue what I've learnt from the 30 hours Famine by World Vision.

I admit I did not go through the 30 hours of famine but I did starved for quite some number of hours. It's really ain't easy especially when you've to run all around the stadium (i'm a volunteer).

Had been watching quiet a number of video clips on people living in poverty and getting some information to increase my knowledge. It's a sad thing to hear that some people or even families live less than 1.25 Dollar a day when we actually use more than that without realising. Come to reality, I am actually very blessed, very very blessed indeed. I have house to stay, food to eat (even to waste), clothes to wear (asking for branded stuff) and birthday, christmas presents.

What do I want to ask somemore?

I always ought to compare with those who are having Nike Adidas shoes, Paul Frank Tees, Levi's jeans, Swatch, LV, Gucci, Channel. Why not compare with those who don't even have a chance to go to 1 Utama or Curve. I really heard some of them have only been to shopping centre once. What about me? I'm still not grateful.

What do I have  to waste?

Having 3 meals a day is a must, adding on with tea time and supper. To me, it's not luxurious. Disliking homecook food, looking forward to McD for supper seems cool? Dumping extra food into the bin became a routine that I don't feel itis a waste anymore. There are people out there who are worrying for their next meal. Last few days, I saw in the paper where the father nd kids just survive through biscuits. We? Asking for famous amos biscuits!

What should I do?

I might not have the ability to help all of them out there. But at least I can do my part. Not to waste food, perhaps don't ask for so much luxurious stuff. Use my savings or what I can to donate to help those people. can also influence people around me to do the same too.

This might sound ridiculous to some of you. It sounds tough. But I believe it's possible. At least I'll try my best. My vision is to see people living with basic necessities, children to deserve a memorable childhood and to be educated.

What's yours?

Never think that you're too small to make a change
